The Singapore Badminton Association is mindful of the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation and we are committed to doing all we can to keep all in the Singapore Badminton Community safe. Do take a few moments to read the following message from our CEO on the measures we have adopted in response.
Want to Become an SBA Ordinary Member?
Applications to become an SBA Ordinary Member are open. The best part? Entrance and subscription fees have now been waived!
Organisations who have organized badminton events or had participants participate in SBA tournaments/programs/events are encouraged to become an SBA Ordinary Member.

WHO WE ARE
We are the Singapore Badminton Association.
Founded in 1929, The Singapore Badminton Association (SBA) seeks to promote and develop badminton, one of the most popular sports in Singapore, as well as establish the Republic as a top badminton nation in the world. As the governing board for badminton in Singapore, SBA co-ordinates, regulates, advises and administers all matters relating to the sport.
SBA is a member of the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Asia Confederation (BAC), and an affiliate of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC). SBA, which has a total of 29 member clubs, is led by an elected Management Committee headed by its President, Mr. Lawrence Leow, who is also the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Crescendas Group.

ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT & SELECTION
Development & selection of elite shuttlers in Singapore.
Organizing tournaments, like the Singapore Open, Youth International Series, International Series, National Championships, and more.
Giving a voice to our athletes, developing them to their fullest. For athletes, by athletes. Currently chaired by ex-Olympian, Mr Derek Wong.
SBA PARENTS SUPPORT GROUP
Gathering valuable feedback from athletes’ parents, the SBA hopes to continue formulating athlete-centric policies. Our current PSG Chairman is Mdm Judy Wong, mother of national player Ms Yeo Jia Min.
FUNDRAISING & EVENTS
Raising money to support the many programs and initiatives SBA puts forward.
FINANCE & AUDIT
Finance & audit. Helmed by a team of efficient, friendly and helpful individuals. Ensuring good governance and proper use of moneys in the SBA.
Cancellation of SBA Townhall 2020
With the health and safety of guests, players, and staff as our utmost priority, we have made the decision to cancel the SBA Townhall 2020, originally scheduled to be held on Saturday, 21 March 2020.
We will be providing updates on the event in due course.

We are a charity registered under the Charities Act, and are recognised as an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) by the Commissioner of Charities. What this means is you can be rest assured we are fully accountable to every cent you donate to us.
Donations to the SBA would be used to power our high performance and high participation programs. These would include development programs that allow our players to compete in events like the Youth Olympics, SEA Games, Singapore Open, and many many more.
