Weekday matches will start from 6.30pm while the finals will start from 2.00pm on Saturday.

Admission to watch is Free

Event Timings:

Day 1 – Sunday, 5 January Qualifying (2.00pm – 8.00pm)
Day 2 – Monday, 6 January Qualifying (6.30pm – 10.00pm)
Day 3 – Tuesday, 7 January Qualifying (6.30pm – 10.00pm)
Day 4 – Wednesday, 8 January Main (6.30pm – 10.00pm)
Day 5 – Thursday, 9 January Quarter Finals (6.30pm – 10.00pm)
Day 6 – Friday, 10 January Semi Finals (6.30pm – 10.00pm)
Day 7 – Saturday, 11 January Finals (2.00pm – 6.00pm)

It’s once again the time to crown a new crop of National Champions!  

From 5th January to 11th January 2020, the Singapore Badminton Association would be holding the 2nd edition of the Singapore Sports Hub National Open Championships Presented by Lianhe Zaobao.

The Only Tier 1 SBA Tournament

The Singapore Sports Hub National Open Championships Presented by Lianhe Zaobao is a Tier 1 SBA Tournament, with the highest ranking points under the National Ranking System (If you are unsure about the National Ranking System, do visit this link).

With that being said, we would want to cordially invite all individuals residing in Singapore, with a passion to compete for the glory of being National Champion, to register for the upcoming event.

Who Can Compete in the National Open Championships?

For the uninitiated, the National Open Championships is as its name entails.

Meaning… Everyone residing in Singapore is invited to compete.

Whether you are a Nanyang JC player or ex-Olympian like Derek Wong, octogenarian with a passion for badminton or a former national champion like Mr Hamid Khan, as long as you reside in Singapore (full details in the Rules & Regulation document below), we invite you to compete in the National Open Championships.

5 Events to Compete for the Glory of National Champion

There will be competitions in the following 5 events:

  • Men’s Singles
  • Women’s Singles
  • Men’s Doubles
  • Women’s Doubles
  • Mixed Doubles

Registrations Now OPEN!

Each player is allowed to enter up to 2 events.

Registration fees (inclusive of 7% GST) for each event are as follows:

The closing date for registration is on 13th December 2019 (Friday). Registration without payment is deemed as incomplete. Late, unclear and incomplete entries will NOT be entertained. This registration fee is non-refundable.
