Why Become an SBA Ordinary Member?
The following are some of the benefits of becoming an SBA Ordinary Member:
- Complimentary Ticket(s) for SBA Events, such as Singapore Badminton Open
- Exclusive Discount Packages for Singapore Badminton Open Tickets
- Invitation to SBA Events (AGMs, Townhalls, etc.)
- Voting rights at General Meetings
Entrance and subscription fees now waived
Usually, the entrance fee to join as an Ordinary Member is $250 and the yearly subscription fee is $100.
For a limited time only, entrance and yearly subscription fees are waived.
Organisations who have organized badminton events such as tournaments, managed a badminton club or had participants participate in SBA tournaments/programs/events are encouraged to become an SBA Ordinary Member.
How to become an SBA Ordinary Member?
According to SBA’s Constitution,
7.1 – Ordinary Members shall include entities which are registered with the Singapore Registry of Societies or Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority, or which are entities within the Singapore government or statutory boards.
7.2 – Ordinary Members must have organized Badminton competitions or programs with 20 or more participants and/or registered at least 20 or more participants for SBA competitions, courses and/or programs within the last 24 months, and must provide the relevant proof when applying for or renewing their membership. Ordinary Members that are entities which are registered with the Singapore Registry of Societies or Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority must have been so registered for at least 5 years
